Donovan offers one-handed guard walk-on spot
- Updated: September 8, 2013
Due to a birth effect, Alpharetta, Georgia high-school guard Zach Hodskins has no left hand or forearm. Seems pretty crazy right? Well, yeah… But its even more crazy how he can still play just like anybody else. Hodskins appeared at a camp in June and was named the most impressive prospect by a recruiting site. Florida Gator head coach Billy Donovan offered Hodskins a preferred walk-on spot. According to sources at Yahoo news, the offer proposed by Donovan would guarantee Hodskins a place on the team without a full ride scholarship starting in the 2014-15 season.
However, there is still no official word yet whether or not Hodskins will take the offer or not. But both the university of Alabama-Birmingham and Birmingham Southern have considered offering him a scholarship.
For the ones who haven’t heard of Hodskins, check out his video below.
